I have one
make sure it's non-toxic
I think you should be able to melt it in a lamp or microwave (usually a drop or 2)
then add shea butter or beeswax or a bit of non flavored lip balm
then mix well and heat again
you can add some more color with food coloring
put it in a container and set it
wait

I stay far away from Victoria Secret's lip gloss...ugh...my hair ALWAYS gets caught in it because it's so sticky and leaves a nasty residue on my lips...yuck!

To really bring out your eyes, use brown, champagne, or gold eyeshadows to really bring out the blue in your eyes. Use a thin line of brown eyeliner on the outer corner of your eyes, both top and bottom, this can help make your eyes look bigger. Then of course, mascara. If you have pink undertones in your skin, you might want to use a bronzer, or you might just skip that area all together. And to top it off, wear lipgloss.

Mineral wear makes your skin look really fresh and blemish free, then for the eyes try two colors maybe like an aqua blue twards the end of your eye and a gold twads the inner. But just a tad of blush on the cheeks, maybe a little bronzer for some color. For the lips a clear and glossy is the way to go!

There are many different kinds of lip gloss from that company, but the one I got from the dentist was double sided: one side is clear if you just want shine, and the other side has color. No smart answers please. Im a guy and i have a problem with my lips being chaped all the time. Well Chap Stick helps but don't work that long so i was told to try lip gloss. Well for the past 3 days i have been using lip gloss and it's been lasting longer and my lips aren't chaped anymore. Jk, anyway, lip gloss has more moisture because it is supposed to last longer and be glossy. Lip glosses have been designed to last longer and longer, therefore, better than chap stick. Also, it has a very creamy base, great for your lips. It's made to help lips be more kissable, therefore more soft.

It stays on longer because girls want ';lasting lip shine';
If you dont put a ton on and it isnt tinted then no one would really be able to tell. but if its sparkly or tinted- or you just apply a lot people will notice. And its a great possibility you'll get laughed at.

I don't think it's strange at all, you see why so many women wear lip gloss. If it didn't work, we wouldn't wear it.
I just wouldn't want you to pull out a tube with the applicator brush and your guy friends clown you about it.
I suggest:
Buy the Mary Kay satin lips, it looks like a tube of chap stick, and lasts longer than lip gloss. I actually put in on under my lip gloss and it works really well.
P.S. Your lips will be extremely soft and girls will like that a lot.
If I were you I would check out the holistic lip glosses by Bee-Luscious. They are long lasting because they don't have petroleum jelly in them. Plus they will make your lips very soft and women love men with soft lips.

Who really cares? Do you? If it makes YOU feel comfortable, that's all that really matters - so carry on, I wouldn't care if a guy wore lipgloss or think it effeminate. I would imagine that it was lip-ice anyway.
wear the lip gloss at night before you go to sleep, not only will you wake up with super soft lips, but people won't see you and think of you as strange. Here's a tip for softer lips: at night use a toothbrush or a towel and rub/brush your lips gently, then apply a small amount of petroleum jelly and a thicker coat of lip gloss, when you wake up sprinkle a little bit of water on top of your lips then wipe with with a clean towel, Voila! soft kissable lips!! During the day try using Carmex lip balm to maintain the softness and prevent wind/sun burn.
Are you straight? Yes...some girls will think it looks a little strange...Try Blistex or Carmax or Burt's Bees..all REALLY good, better in my opinion than regular Chapstick..and last longer...seriously, a guy with a dewey-pouty lip would not turn my head...

If you dont put a ton on and it isnt tinted then no one would really be able to tell. but if its sparkly or tinted- or you just apply a lot people will notice. And its a great possibility you'll get laughed at.

I don't think it's strange at all, you see why so many women wear lip gloss. If it didn't work, we wouldn't wear it.
I just wouldn't want you to pull out a tube with the applicator brush and your guy friends clown you about it.
I suggest:
Buy the Mary Kay satin lips, it looks like a tube of chap stick, and lasts longer than lip gloss. I actually put in on under my lip gloss and it works really well.
P.S. Your lips will be extremely soft and girls will like that a lot.
If I were you I would check out the holistic lip glosses by Bee-Luscious. They are long lasting because they don't have petroleum jelly in them. Plus they will make your lips very soft and women love men with soft lips.

During the day try using Carmex lip balm to maintain the softness and prevent wind/sun burn.
Are you straight? Yes...some girls will think it looks a little strange...Try Blistex or Carmax or Burt's Bees..all REALLY good, better in my opinion than regular Chapstick..and last longer...seriously, a guy with a dewey-pouty lip would not turn my head...

I have the Peach color. It just makes your lips tingle for a few seconds after you apply it. It was $10 at Target. I didn't notice my lips even LOOKING any bigger, your lips just have a tingly feeling to them. The color is really pretty though, like a nude pretty pink. It's not really that sticky either. I wear it when I can't find any other lip gloss in my purse.
I wouldn't recommend it though if you're looking for a lip plumper because it didn't make my lips look any different except for the shine factor. I think that's what all lip plumper lip gloss does though, is make your lips feel tingly.
I hope you find one that works for you though.

When you're cleansing or exfoliating your face, remember to exfoliate your lips as well ! It will get rid of dead skin on your lips. Then always use a lip balm ( try Vasaline Lip Treatment with Aloe Vera) at night before you go to bed. It works, if you don't like to exfoliate your lips get a piece of soft tough small towel and run it over some hot water (use the harsh ends/corners of the towel) then rub gently over your lips to get rid of the unwanted skin. Then apply lip balm on straight after. Remember to do this at night so you will have moistrurized lips in the morning.

Although very shocking it is not uncommon and is often a cry for help. I know of several cases where this happened and it turned out there was a crisis e.g. family breakup or something similar. That may not be the case here but something is bothering her.
You must sit down with her and be very firm about the consequences of continuing to do this...that she will end up in juv. ct and so on but also be understanding and try to get her to tell you if something is bothering her.
Try to impress on her how important it is to avoid being in situations where she might feel tempted.
I strongly suggest you make her go back to the stores and give an admission of guilt and offer to repay the manager by working it off. My brother had a habit like that when he was young. My mom used that tact with him and it nipped it in the bud. Or if that doesn't work have a police officer come and talk to her in a very intimidating way, best infront of her friends. Its rough but you have got to stop her. Tough Love.
Ask her if she needs anything and be willing to spend a little extra money. Help her return the stolen lipglosses and apologize to the store. Even if she didn't get caught, she eventually will, and the fine is much more costly than a $5 tube of gloss.

stila has an excellent line of lip glosses. they are about $16 but you can buy one shade and absolutely love it! i have two (apricot and guava, one for summer and one for winter). i apply them over lipstick to get a little bit different color or wear them by themselves during the day. they are excellent and don't feel sticky and my boyfriend doesn't complain about it either. make up isn't something you should cheap out on because this is your face we are talking about! i would definitely try out one of stila's shades. you can try it on at a sephora store, or find it online.

theres this one lip gloss called Mark. i saw it in lucky magizene and i tried it myself and the color i got stayed on for a while and was very shiny!. its $5 for one tube and it has 2 colors. so its a pretty good deal. They also have other beauty products for reasonable prices.

Don't laugh but I heard this on the Tyra show and had been doing it before myself. You take a small amount of lipstick and mix it w/ Vaseline. You can make it as dark or sheer as you like and have a variety! You can even mix lipstick colors first to get more colors. You can't get any cheaper than that!

stila has an excellent line of lip glosses. they are about $16 but you can buy one shade and absolutely love it! i have two (apricot and guava, one for summer and one for winter). i apply them over lipstick to get a little bit different color or wear them by themselves during the day. they are excellent and don't feel sticky and my boyfriend doesn't complain about it either. make up isn't something you should cheap out on because this is your face we are talking about! i would definitely try out one of stila's shades. you can try it on at a sephora store, or find it online.

She is taking valtrex. Im not sure if she has used these lip glosses since she has contracted herpes. Okay, so my aunt buys a lot of make up from high-end retailers, and so she gets lot of those deals where when she buys x, y and z she also gets w for free. And then she sends me the freebies. A year, or maybe two or three years, ago, she sent me a really good lipgloss kit. There were six to eight shades, ranging from really light pink to deep red. The top of the container was zebra stripes, on the back was the name of the company (which I keep thinking was Estee Lauder), as well as the names of the shades.
Now, I left it in the car and it melted everywhere, unusable (and I can tell you my parents weren't too happy about the melting). I really loved those shades, and I'd love to get them again. I don't see anything like it for Estee Lauder, so if you could find the kit somewhere, I'd be mucho obliged, so I could buy it or, if used, just get more stuff from that company.

well since its lip gloss (and i love lip gloss) i think you should have them in all types. like lip gloss in those brush bottles, tubes (the one that you squeeze), the lip glosses that you twist from the bottom, and the lip gloss you can apply with your fingers.
have them in delicious flavors. fruity is usually popular. have them in different colors that can attract buyers. you can even add glitter to some, but not too much. also have those solid colors also, and those nice clear colors. make sure the packaging is nice too. you can try to make flavors that you havent seen yet out there but are really nice and you would know girls would love it. make sure it smells good too.
have them to be long lasting. thats a good one. and make sure its not tested on animals or whatever. make it not sticky. stickiness is so annoying.

Definitely good smells/tastes. Nothing worse than a lip gloss that looks good but tastes/smells nasty. I love Burt's Bees products, because they smell/taste/feel really nice. Something like that maybe? And - skip the glitter. I'm pretty sure that fad is over. Best of luck!!! :)

Make it real shiny but not sticky, flavored with something most people like, have it good that it last through the day.. That's what a lot of people want, most of us hate it when we have to keep reapplying our lip gloss, or when the lip gloss is so sticky, that if the wind blows, and our hair touches the lip gloss, it sticks to it, and when you remove your hair, you would have to touch it up again.
And here's a quick tip which you may or may not know. If you have some ideas, make them and like hand them out to may be family and friends, or random people on the street or something, and take like a poll or review to see how you could improve the product. Basically, experiment with them.
Once you get that, THEN, start marketing it. Or else, if you just start selling it based on the tips or ideas here on yahoo answers (not that I'm saying it's bad, but we wouldn't know till we really tried it), you might be able to sell much.
Oh and by the way, if you could, email me when it's done. Like the name and where I can purchase it. I would definately support you if it was good and get all my friends to buy it too! :D

I use Clinique Long Last, it keeps my lips from getting dry and flaky, the color is very subtle and creamy.

I don't like either. I'll only wear lip gloss if I'm going somewhere fancy, going to a party, wedding, etc. I just don't like lipstick, period. It tastes weird if I accidentally get it on my teeth or something. Chapstick all the way! I'm 13, by the way. :]
I love lipgloss. Now it comes in all colors so I can wear whatever color I want for the day.
Lipgloss is more appropriate for younger people than lipstick is. Lipstick usually seems to age a person more than lipgloss does.

My eyes are a lightish blue-green color (think a lighter, bluer version of Urban Decay's Flipside eyeshadow, if that helps at all) with a dark circle of cobalt on the outside. They also have a kind of swirl of greenish gold.
My lips are a kind of dusty-rose (like Urban Decay's Kiss mixed with Purple Haze).

I am looking for a site that sells the Rocket City Galactic Lip Gloss. Sephora has apparently stopped carrying it and I am almost out. It is the BEST lipgloss ever and I want to try and find more. Does lip gloss make lips unchapped?
I want to make my lips completely unchapped in a week or so. I do bite my bottom lip, so it's not becoming less chapped as quickly.
I only have lip gloss, i hate chapstick.

I have found that Carmex is the best for chapped lips, but the kind in the little jar is better (thicker and more effective) than the kind in the tube. Just make sure to wash your hands and moisten your lips before you apply it so that it can be absorbed, and you minimize the amount of germs that get in your mouth. lipgloss actually only makes your lips look shiny, it doesnt really moisturize your lips like chapstick so when it comes off ur lips dry agen really fast. u could wear chapstick under lipgloss

if you get a lipgloss thats not sticky then it can help but if your lipgloss is too thick then it will just sit on top of your lips and make them feel gross

It is about 拢10 a tube and basically when you put it on your lips start tingling as it stimulates the blood vessels in your lips and you lips go really red. It lasts for ages...no lipstick required.
